![]() Your American colonies are quite pitiful at the start due to Britain being one of the later European powers to begin colonisation of the Americas. Going back to the beginning status of Great Britain, you begin with six regions with three in each of the American and European theatres. ![]() I place extremely high importance on the trading theatres and always make acquiring trade nodes a priority from turn one. The trading theatres can make your trading ports extremely busy and make you incredibly wealthy. Ivory can be collected in the West Africa and East Africa trading theatres. Ivory is consistently one of the most valued goods in the game but it is not a good that can be found in any of the main theatres (Americas, Europe, India). This can be useful when deciding between which resource you want your unused plantations to produce. The trade tab under the 'Government' panel allows you to view the current trading rates of the trade-able resources. While you can always trade regardless of whether or not you have any trade-able resources, the money you can earn through trading resources can allow you to fund just about any thing you might fancy doing in Empire. You only have one fur trading post up in Fort Rupert and the sugar plantation in Jamaica producing any trade-able resources for you at the start. The downside to this, however, is that you don't begin with that much to trade. I am hoping that others will provide feedback for corrections and/or advice, tips that I could include so I am more than open to suggestions, comments, requests for screen shots to better clarify, etc.
